The Spray Advisory does not mean you are safe from pesticides...

Just to clarify...

I had someone suggest to me that this must be a great summer with nearly all days being a "no go" for spray activities.

In an ideal situation, this would be true however, this is a warning that many companies are still applying pesticides against the regulations.

If a company sprays pesticides in a manor which does not comply with provincial and federal law, they are doing so illegally and are putting the environment, children, our water supplies and your health at risk.

Pesticides are toxic and are being banned across Canada. Newfoundland still lags behind in health and environmental issues.

If you see a company spraying pesticides on a "no spray" day in and around the St. John's area, They are putting themselves, our children and the environment at risk... please take the time to report the incident to the Department of Environment (709-729-2577) & the Department of Health (709-729-3124).
