If you see anyone spraying pesticides in today's conditions please report the activity.
Tip of the day!
Don't always believe what companies say about pesticides being safe...
It is illegal in Canada to claim that a pesticide is "safe""natural," or "organic". And, the terms "biological" and "biodegradable"cannot be used without qualification. The Regulatory Directive 96-02, dated March 15, 1996 further states:
"Vague and potentially misleading statements such as "environmentally friendly," "green," or "ozone friendly" must not be used as they cannot clearly indicate a specific benefit."
The Federal Pest Control Products Act states:
No person shall package, label or advertise any control product in a manner that is false, misleading or deceptive or is likely to create an erroneous impression regarding its character, value, quantity, composition, merit or safety.
"advertise "includes any representation by any means whatever for the purpose of promoting directly or indirectly the sale or other disposition of a control product."
